Best Way To Fix Minor Scratches On Stainless Steel Appliances

Choosing stainless steel for cookware, kitchen appliances or any other items around the house it’s the best option you can make because this material is long-lasting and has an attractive and modern look. But stainless steel has some flaws: it can get scratched easily if you don’t care for them.

However, these scratches can be fixed, of course if they are minor, because deep scratches will require professional help.

So, if you want to repair your scratched stainless steel appliances, just apply the next steps and you‘ll regain that stainless steel glow!

You need:

  • water
  • soft cloths
  • vinegar
  • soft Scotchbrite pads

Well, my dears, first of all you have to take the soft scotchbrite pad and rub it over the stainless steel by following exactly the grain. !!! This is an important step in removing the scratch successfully. If you rub the pad against the grain you’ll end up creating more scratches.

If you followed the “rubbing step” correctly the scratch will be gone. Now, just buff slowly the area with a soft cloth.

The next step is to moisten a small part of the cloth in vinegar and gently wipe the scratched area, and then wipe again with water to remove vinegar excess.

Use paper towels to wipe again the stainless steel for brilliance.
