How to get rid of pet hair from your carpet
You need fabric softener, water, a spray, and the vacuum cleaner.
Mix 1 part fabric softener with 3 parts water, and put the solution in the spray bottle. Sprinkle the solution over the carpet. Let it dry then vacuum the carpet. The fabric softener will soften the pet hair and it will be easier to suck.

How to get rid of stains on carpets
If the stain from your carpet is water-soluble (alcohol, fruits, coke, pet poo, food colorants, sauces, ice cream, milk, mud, etc.), use a solution made from ¼ teaspoon of laundry detergent without bleach or white vinegar and a cup of water. Using a cloth rub gently the stain and it will be gone quickly.

If it is a grease or wax stain, put a paper towel over the stain then iron over it. The grease or wax will be absorbed by the paper.

If you dropped cigarette ash on the carpet, the stain will be removed if you rub it gently with a butter knife.

Nail polish can be removed from your carpet with a soft cloth soaked in solvent or in nail polish remover. Wash well with some carpet cleaner after removing the nail polish stain.
